Here's my short list icon_smile.gif

1. 1969 (i think) Purple Escort Panel Van. My first car, did great smoke shows in reverse icon_lol.gif lasted 6 months before I rolled it on a dirt road in Nulkaba (near cessnock)
2. 1969 1600 GT Capri - I loved this car, very quick for a 4cyl. Unfortunately it tried to climb a telegraph pole at 60Kph and came off second best icon_cry.gif .
3. Little red Corolla, Can't remember what year icon_confused.gif Died of Cancer.
4. 1982 KA Laser. This was my wife's car. I surprised her one day when I took it for a drive and came back with an 82 351 XD wagon. "What???" I said, I seen it in a car yard and the dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse, Laser + $500 icon_biggrin.gif
5. Datsun 120Y - Bought it for a little work car. Bought this car off Dad's mate who had had it since new and still looked like new when I bought it. Unfortunatley, my other car was a 1979 351 LTD and I drove the little datto the same way. I eventually blew the motor (6 weeks after buying it) icon_lol.gif Haven't owned another 4 since.

Mick

Update to previous, hope it doesn't end up like the datto icon_eek.gif
Who'd have thunk it Eh icon_lol.gif I've just bought myself another 4 cyl car for the missus. Found it available by chance on ......... fordmods of all places. You may have heard another member on here needing a shoulder to cry on, because he has too many cars and had to let one go icon_razz.gif It's OK mate, I'll look after her. She's already got a bath, some new blue LED parkers, made a few repairs and I think she's ready to hit the road again. As the missus is a bit of a rev head, the old Telstar will inevitably be getting a few performance mods, if I don't she'll want the lane back icon_evil.gif . So I had better start a new post so that we can keep track of the progress. Will add a link when started for anyone remotely interested icon_biggrin.gif

the only 4-Banger ive owned was a 1985 Mitsubishi RE Colt GSR. was a 4-speed manual with that funky performance/economy lever.

it was funny as going up through the gears from 1-performance to 1-eco, 2-performance to 2-eco, 3-performance etc. used to trip people out, lol.
