Never said I wouldn’t do the xr vents, just not as part of the mould.
$150 is not to just cut two holes, their bonnets actually require a nice return around the whole vent with a lower platform for the vent to mount to, this will be recreated so it looks factory fit. This does however depend on where exactly the bulge ends, you don’t want the vents too close to the bulge or it will look wrong.
Yes they supply their own vents.
Fairmont grille will be supplied free of charge ONLY for those who give an initial deposit, after that, they will be $150.
I agree in what they are saying about free grille but $150 for vents………for all deposit placers, xr vent holes will be done free of charge also.
I will not be doing carbon……..or in the foreseeable future, supply of carbon is difficult and expensive.
So guys get your deposits in and it will be alot cheaper!
Cheers

Howy fellas, just a quick reminder about this thread. We really do need some more people in on this. as i know quite a few have tod me that you wish to get this, but you havent signed up yet.
All you need to do is give adam the deposit, and he can start producing the bonnets in a larger scale. They will be top quality too. Been talking to adam a whole heap, he is very excited about this and wants to get it off the ground!! |

Really, when i spoke to adam he stated that he wouldnt be doin the high series bonnet, was concentrating on the XR and GLI market.
This changes things. If you can confirm then i will be in touch with him on monday to make my deposit.

Alrighty, srry for the delay in the details being chucked up. But here they are for the time being.
There will be a Gli/xr bonnet for the gli/xr members.
There shall be a gli/xr bonnet with a attachment for the fairmont members. with the fairmont grille.
So there will not be the high series bonnet being done, sorry for the confusion on this, that was my stuff up.
If there are any questions, please feel free to ask.
Cheers

So no bonnet with the raised line then the bulge, same as mine now?
I need a new one, but the low series will not have the clearance i need.
Cheers

brett, there will be a raised section where the buldge is. Seeing your how far your manifold sticks up, that should be enough, wouldnt it?
Not 100% sure on how the fairmont attachment will work on the gli bonnet. Still in designing stage. so no pics as yet. |

His current set up would already have the fairmont raised part, then be raised further for the bulge. If he fitted a non-fairmont bonnet it doesn't have the first raise, and so he would loose that extra clearance. Last picture I saw of his manifold it stuck up bloody high. |

Correct, which is why i need the high series bonnet. I am only replacing it cause i want a one peice bonnet so i dont have the visible "join mark" where the fibreglass meets the steel
