You should be able to get the shims from your nearest Ford dealer. I believe they cost about $60 to $70.

Firstly, no cam will give good power through the whole rev range. A cam that works well down low will generally "ease off" at the top end. Likewise, a cam that works well at the top end will, generally, not start working until 3000rpm or more.
The grind that we normally recommend where there's an auto is our 1636.
It starts to work from 2300/2500 and goes through to the rev limiter.
That would be our suggestion for you. |
umm my car doesn't have a rev limiter. and the cam i'm after is something for more down low. the power doesn't come in till 2000 at the moment. i wan't it lower |

$235.00 for an exchange cam. This includes a deposit of $100.00 for the exchange which is refunded to you when you return a suitable replacement cam to us. Freight to and from Perth via Australia Post would be approx. $35.00 each way.

rev limiter normally cuts fuel or spark and if you do that with lpg your just gonna get a big bang |

Hi Chris what the specs on this mix cam between the 977b and 1521a and how does it differ from the 1673 in regards to power and idle also specs woudl be good as im planing on getting it tune the chiptoque chip for optimum performance
There is no mix grind between the 977B and the 1521A. The 1673, as you probably know, is a mix grind between the 1636 and the 977B. |

Pricing on billets hasn't changed in recent times. There is a sticky on our forum section regarding pricing. |

I'm not 100% sure on this, but, l believe Crow Cams do, or did the cams for the EA/EB and Camshaft Engineering in Brisbane did the cam for the VN/VP. Camshaft Engineering is no longer in business. I don't have any information about the cams themselves. |
