yeh its jus that we got this offer today
bundle s**t with the fone which i dont worry about and internet offer
it was 1st 3 months you get adsl2 20mb connection with 60gig downloads each month for the 1st 3
after that you decide on which plan to go with which we will go with 25gig a month at $59 a month
im in melbourne - taylors lakes - sydenham area and just wondering if this is worth it
and just some opinions and past experiences with telstra adsl2
we need to make a decision in the next 2 days if we go with it |

thats a theoretical max.
You will get anywhere from 1.5 to ~22mb |

what he said, you need to know how far from the exchange you are and if you have a good line, otherwise adsl2 will suffer badly...
what do you want high speed broadband for? if you are looking to download movies/music or anything else, you can get much better data amounts from places like TPG...

Its a LAN of some discription, but i cant talk about it too much.
18Tb of data accessable, practicly any movie downloaded in 1.20 min. the major limitation at the minute is the computers and harddrives cant process the data quick enough |

Falc's, if you can hack through the 5 (thats right FIVE!) firewalls and various other obsticals, by all means go for it.
oh, and did i mention that the only internet connection in and out to the LAN is 1.5m anyway? plus you'd need someone on the inside to logon to the internet (the outside) at great expense to them. |

ADSL2 will work further from the exchange than ADSL1 and it still has better upload and a more stable connection, plus it's cheaper now than ADSL1 isn't it? |

adsl2 is slightly better at distance and is generally faster.
but its all pissing in the wind as far as im concerned as there is already technology to go MUCH faster than that |
