|
|
Hello everyone, the following is only a proposition:
I am looking at booking in to get an AMR direct injection lpg kit in September at Oakleighs Regent Street Motors who i have used before for an Impco installation.
My Impco installation provided me with 60,000km's of service free driving getting 480-530 (530 at very best) km's per 68 litres of fuel.
Im wondering if anyone else here would be interested in the following package:
$3700 for the full AMR direct injected kit installed.
(Usually $3,800)
They offered me a $400 discount if i could supply my own indate lpg tank.
Now if i can get a few names, even one, we would be able to get ourselves a further discount (bulk = discount).
I will do all the bargaining to save everyone the trouble.
Matt

Permission to take a leak granted.
Seriously though its better to get all the details sorted first then get the names and interest.
That way we know how many people you need to get a certain discount.
Find out the info from the supplier/seller , contact details, costs and postage and exactly what they will get eg photos and/or accurate description.
No point in getting names first and then have mods cancel it because the info isn't there. |

Thanks, i'd been holding on for ages
But seriously, i have no details on any prices : quantities.
This is simply: If ppl want a high quality gas kit fitted, let me know, when i have a quantity i will go into the shop and negotiate a low price. |

Like an EOI before you get all the details?
OK I guess its fine to get numbers. But your not allowed to collect deposits from anyone until the details are supplied according to the Group Buy sticky and then PM a moderator to get it OK'd before it becomes a legit Group Buy.
We'll say your investigating this group buy currently and until the costs and such are detailed this group buy is pending. |

Direct LPG injection? REALLY???
Do you have a car with direct petrol injection (e.g. Alfa Romeo, etc.)? If not, then you're probably talking about indirect sequential multipoint injection. Direct injection is a system where fuel is injected right into the cylinders like with a diesel engine.
Regards,
Dave |

| yes I may be interested , maybe even 2 cars as I want my Territory done. I have been quoted $3600 by autogas1. Can they do an EF? I am looking into fitting AU ECU to get sequential injection too. |

Ive had sequential injection already. twice - The OMVL Dream and the GTI System.
Kills the normal stuff if its a good one. - but it can be more fiddly. |

Im actually going to the mixer system, figured its not worth an extra $1000 for 20% better economy.
We can still all collaborate and bargain ourselves a deal
The mixer setup is $2,700 or $2,300 supplying your own tank
Ill give it two days before i call them up, please if you are thinking about this let us know so we can make arrangements

Now on that, I was given advice that one of the better systems (mixer) for LPG was the Landi twin stepper one. Thats what Ive got, and Ive invested in the programming cable as well.
The GRA System is good, and works with turbo's etc, however it has its issues. It isnt that much more fantastic. To be honest Ive had better responsiveness out of Impco Systems.
and the TE50 powered EB I used to have had a parnell mixer system on it, and I was quite impressed by how well it ran.

Their website only list BA on?
I think the LPGAS1 system is a Landi If I recall correctly? They were very positive about doing the Territory and said it worked really good. |

Well no ecu mods outside the fitting are required for the EF
I talked to them about it for a while.
But im sticking to the mixer setup |

| I just looked up the wiring diagram for the EL and It does not include wiring for the sequential injection. I will try and find my EF manual I'm sure I had it recently. |

Thats because the EL is not sequential injection - its bank fire, two groups.
