...you posted this on the wrong forum...

anyways, to get rid of it, switch the key to ignition but don't start the engine. Then hold the odometer reset button down until it beeps. you have to hold it for 10 sec or so.

Hey fellow newbie, according to my 95 fairlane book to reset service due indicator:- turn ignition "on" (engine not running) then press and hold tripmeter reset button for approx. 10 seconds until instrument cluster "beeps".
i am assuming this would be the same for yours, cheers

Turn the ignition to on (do not start). Press and hold the odometer reset until you hear a beep (5 seconds or so, i think it beeps by memory... lol).

thanks guys. that was three replays in about 10 minutes. sorry about the wrong forum. i'm at work and just did the easiest way on to the site as possible by using one of mu old questions. I thought it would just route itself through to the right forum. Cheers, I'll give it a go once done.
