|
|
Say I had a folder called VIDEO_TS, which has 34 files in it of about 7GB totoal - some files are .VOB, some are .BUP and some are .IFO.
How would I make this into 1 single movie file like a DivX or Xvid?
I've been told that AutoGK does it, but it only seems to do the selected file - i.e. you can't do the entire, movie, just parts of it. |

| Hmmm... Seems you need to select the .IFO file, then it does the whole movie. But what if there are 2 .IFO files, both seem to work, so which to use? |

| make the 2 .ifo's into the divx format, use windows movie editor to combine teh 2 into 1. if WME does not want to work with you then I suggest you look for another movie prog.. so I understand this, you are backing up one of your movies to pc right? I have a nice prog that i could assist you with if you wanna pm me. I use it for backing up my dvd's to avi format to watch via the home network on PS3.. |

Yeah, I am backing up 1 of my DVD's. But it's got a nice scratch through it, so I can't rip it onto the computer again (what are the chances that I riped it to the PC 2 seconds before it was scratched so bad?).
This 1 rip has 8 INFO files in it! I've been googling the runtime of the movie to figure out which is the 1 to use. |

| I use a program call divx converter. Just started using it yesterday. But not sure if it can handle DVD files. |

| I use either WinAVI, or ConvertXtoDVD, i usually only convert AVI to DVD but these progs convert most vid files either way you want to go. |
