XH5LWEPN's 236RWKW sounds like a bit of a gross exhageration. I won't dispute the time, its a ripper.

I dunno about a gross exhageration but thats what it made on the day and it was the same dyno it pulled 284rwhp on when it was first tuned. Sure the air temps were high so the weather correction would have been a bit out, but, what do you do? It still didnt even reach peak power as it was hitting the 180km/h speed limiter. We found peak power @ 5600rpm in 3rd gear, overlayed the graph and it may have pulled 325rwhp on that day if the speed limiter was not present.
I will have to get it back on for another run in cooler conditions so theres not as much need for the weather correction in the dyno.
Everybody quotes their dyno readouts so i will too, wether it be correct or not. As everybody knows, its not going to give a correct/right/exact reading, its only a tuning tool, but if you want to quote what it ran than everybody sould be able to. The only way to compare another car to another is to be run on the exact same dyno on the exact same day.
The 317rwhp i pulled may not be correct but i have i have no doubt that it has 300+ HP @ the tyres, i have the ET and MPH to prove it.
Here it is.

f**k, thats a bit of engine work, time and money for 170rwkw!

Oh well, i know if i spent thousands on a motor, i'd personally want more than a mid 14 out of it.

If tractive effort is what to go by, then i think you shoulda ditched that and got a 3v icon_razz.gif Just with cai and exhaust i was making more than that icon_smile.gif (and that's with a f**k motor)

I have seen scaffys car and jeffs car at the drags and there is nothing wrong with the way they go, or their power outputs.

been reading through, 173rwkw seems to be pretty good i reckon. Just the tractive effort, are 6's and 8's rated different? mine was at 4500-4250N on my run. I would of thought it would have a heap more torque then a 6.

Mate, good on ya. I'm happy that you're happy with what you've got. You've started this whole lot of s**t that I don't normally buy into and looking back, I'm pretty disappointed I've let myself be dragged into it. I bite pretty easily at C**k. I can't say I've seen any other members at each other like you and so many others are.

My last dyno run I pulled 270rwhp a few weeks ago on a miserable, cold, wet day in shoot-out mode. My afrs were below 10:1 from 3500 on, so I was pretty happy with what I got under the circumstances. As for my mph, I only had between 2/3 and 3/4 throttle with my foot to the floor, so hopefully next season, I'll be seeing better.

I guess so long as we're all happy with what we've got, that's all that matters. I'm STOKED to be in the mid 13s! icon_biggrin.gif

Amen to that.

We all have different goals and expectations, limitations too (same problem for me Chad) well whatever floats your boat.

Bring on Next season, looking forward to getting deeper in the 13's.

SPECS:

block bored out .030, decked .010
X303 heads decked .050
200kw cam
1.7 YELLA TERRA RR
Ported GT40 lower inlet
1 inch phenlonic spacer
BA xr8 air cleaner assembly (cyclone)
High energy oil pan 8.5L
Engine oil cooler (factory fitment and a must)
Ported MAF
HM 4-2-1 headers
Single 2 1/2 inch exhaust with rear muffler removed.

The A/F ratios have since gone from 10-11.1 to 11.5-12.5 after the build.

All that and 10rwkw LESS then my six cylinder BA XT made?

I'd be pretty angry, not boasting on forums about it..

Good result, but why do you have to make everything you do sound like it's something incredible?
Is it arrogance or do AU owners feel they have to talk themselves up because of some sort of ugly car complex?

I never said what I did was incredible. maybe I harped on about it more then most but never made my car out to being something it wasn't.
Au's are ugly but all that is put to rest once on a race track, once you've been there only a SUPRA, PORSCHE, GTR SKYLINE, EVO 9, WRX STI or car of the like will ever tickle your fancy. TYPHOON would be nice to from the later BLUE oval products icon_wink.gif.

17kw increase from just a blueprint (port, heads) aint to bad. The rebuild only really cost $6,500. Before you do sink my ship I've still got one more outing to Calder Park, If I don't get flat 14 then you can toast me lol.

My bog stock T1 manual made 166rwkw... So you are 10 up on an iron headed 200kW 5.0 running standard everything and a old Ryco air filter.

If you are happy with the way the car performs, and can justify your outlay then great... BUT IMHO I'd want a bit more go for the $6,500.

A 220 let alone a blueprinted one would masacre your poor old 200kw mate. Hopefully I'll be able to prove a point on Friday. I'm personaly more then happy with the result and have a motor that can be flogged for 200,000 km, unlike most buildups here. Did I mention anything about fuel economy LOL icon_wink.gif

^dont wanna sount like a C*** t2, but after the impression you give people and how your build progressed, I doubt you will impress anyone here unless you put up a dyno and/or put up some 1/4 times that would justify the $$$ spent on your build. So far there is nothing to paint a picture making you out to be anything except a laughing stock. 1st of all with your boasting about how good the combo would be... then locking antlers with everyone here about who knows more and whos got the faster engine, and then disputing thier proven times. Then munching your engine... and does 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Reverse *BANG* ring a bell?

Cmon man, resist the urge to dig the hole deeper and deliver something!

edit: for the record, i envy your 12.5l/100km economy. Id kill for that right now hehe.

You won't "massacre" a 200kW with your "blueprinted" 220... Perhaps I should "blueprint" my engine and prove a point to you.

On the fuel economy, I'd like to point out that I just filled my tank with 59L of fuel. I reset the trip meter every time I fill up and had done 528km on that tank. If you do your sums correctly, that equates to 11.17L/100km.
