| Call rocket, e-mail will take time. Many auto stores get their stuff from rocket anyway. |

rang auto1 today and quoted the part no that mackagtho gave me and they reckon theyve never listed that part before and that they would have to fax s**t off to the states to get a price that could take 6-10days.
got the number from rocket through a friend, gave them a call told em what i wanted, paid by c/c and it will be here tommorow (so i'm told) so we'll see what rolls up tommorow and if its the right part |

| yeah don't mind me asking, what was it worth, is it a direct swap with the original and are there any gains to be had? I just bought some new blue 9mm leads today the #8 lead was arcing on the headers. I did the plugs while I was at it too. |

i didnt post up the price because it was the wrong part. im goin to send this part back to rocket and order in the correct part.
the wrong part set me back $80 delivered to my door. so i don't know the right part might be that same, cheaper or more expensive. ill have to wait and see
also this was direct through rocket, no middle man. |

steve. |
still waiting to hear back from them, ive sent the cap and rotor back with clear instructions written on a copy of the invoice so im still waiting.
when i rang them and told them that i wanted the msd8482 but the reckon theve never stocked that part and it will have to be specially ordered in from the states.
so im thinking i might just forget about it for now. to much effort for cosmetics atm. might just save the cash and order cap rotor button and coil through summit |

Yes.
The only difference between a stock cap and the MSD cap is that the MSD cap is red, and has that thing on top to hold the plug leads and coil lead in.
Heres a picture of the stock dizzy with an MSD cap fitted.
Was $23.70US from Summit, + postage.
It is really only a looks thing, only possible benefit is the hold down thingo, stop dodgy leads popping off and causing a bad connection. |

^^^^ i concur. And for the record, i do not recommend the MSD Billet Dizzy for EFI 5.0's. I had nothing but trouble with mine and was glad to be rid of it. It was rebuilt 3 times under warranty
