hi there,i have a ea on dual feul it goes beautifull on gaz but looses 3cyl when switch to petrol. also cuts out when driving along,it can go for day's and weeks and then sudenly cuts out stop and wait for a couples minutes and restart everything is fine again. i have tried changing ecu from another ea but it wont idle and funny noise coming from aircleaner.i also tried a ecu from a ed with smartlock it run beautifull on gaz and petrol but wont start the car because of smartlock.anybody can help please????thanks leon

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

maybe you could try running an ECU from an EB with no smartlock? if the ED one ran fine than the EB one theoretically should too, just without the problem of the immobiliser.

thanks for your advice,in the country ecu are not running the street,and i dont want to keep spending money to buy s/hand ecu that i not sure will work.
i have got a serie2 ea 4speed.but that one run the car but make funny noises in intake manifold like poping noises i wonder if it needs reprograming??how is it done??....regards leon
