NO E series cars run coil on plug only ba/bf/fg 96 run coil on plug
ef/au run coil pack= no dizzy
el run dizzy with coil and they are an electronic dizzy hence no points are inside teh dizzy
a ballast resistor is a large ceramic resistor to reduce the voltage going to the ign system i doubt it would be needed on the el |

Hey,
The ballast resistor is only for points distributors. I would expect that using the ballast would result in a piss-weak spark.
Cheers

| is this the transformer coil type or a GT40 style as i was looking at the rocket catalog at work and could only find a transformer type coil that suited a dodge with would work but the plug was different. |
