hoping for a 14.2 at 158kmh. I advanced the base timing with the crank sensor and installed a BA XR8 cyclone air filter assembly.
The engine now revs alot smoother between 5,000-6,000 and hits the limiter with ease.
Last time I ran it it had 3,000km on the clock and very tight (cruel). The engine now has 8,000 km and revving a hell of alot cleaner.
Revving it 500rpm harder then last probably won't do much, but only time will tell.

Just found out that your engine lives and dies by your throttle blade adjustment. My flat spot was due to the blade being 1/3 of a turn out!!!!!!!!!! icon_eek.gif
I would be either bagging the rears or bogging down going nowhere. She picks up the skirts and flies off the line know. The difference it makes is incredible.

It's a shame. It'd be very disappointing for him. I know I would be p****d. But hopefully he can find some positive in the whole situation and get something out of it. Who knows, it's been off the road for a while now so his driving skills may have been a bit rusty...

We've all got a few months now to make some changes and hopefully see some improvements. Maybe some attitudes will see some adjustments too and we can all get along like one big, happy family as it should be! icon_biggrin.gif

Give him a break ffs

Im sure everyone has run horror times on any given day when the track/traction/car/driver isnt all up to scratch at the same time.

There been a few times where ive thought of something smart to type in response to "te250"s posts but havnt cause its obvious he's only biting back to the s**t thrown at him..... which i know very well he started though....

i for one hope he can run the times he hopes for and be happy, cause theres a alot of I6's getting around that will give his 'blueprinted' 220 motor a run for his money..... icon_smile.gif

What tyres? And what was the track temp?

If the track temp was under 20 C then its a waste of time trying.
