|
|
Hi guys,
when looking at parts from the US for a small block windsor here, how for back are we in terms of what we comapre to, for example an EL 5L, is equivalent to 93-97 Mustang or 86-93 Mustang? and 96-04 Mustang wouldn't suit a late E series?
Thanks. |

86-93.
But it does depend on what part you are looking for. |

86-93, but remember their stuff is mounted the opposite way to ours as in the manifolds. so if you are looking at anything from holley, (ei the sytemmaxII) the battery will need to be moved as it is not reversable

| Front dress is similar to '94-'95 stang too. So '86-'93 timing covers/water pumps and accessories won't work. All stangs have rear sump pans too. |

Say i wanted to get from ford racing in the states;
t/b, upper manifold, intake manifold, cam, roller rockers, 24lb injectors, etc.
Would I then go with one of their head designs? Or is it possible to go with ported GT40P's sorced locally?
Cheers. |

All of that stuff can be sourced locally, and there is better stuff available on the market as aftermarket. I would recomend 70mm Tickford TB, ported GT40P's if you already have them, crane 2021 cam and 1.7 adjustable rollers. For manifold if you are talking Ford racing, then an AU explorer will do the same trick, but ford racing 24lb's will be fine. Then you will need a tune to tie it all together

You can get all of that stuff either here or there.
Personally I wouldn't get 40p's. The aftermarket has far better designs that will walk all over even the most hogged out 40p's. If you look into the cost of it you'll see that 40p's just aren't worth it. |
