Got all the parts/tools, but what other products will i need to swap the whole system out for another.
I know I need:
New rubber mounts for the pipe
Some sort of manifold sealant
Possibly new gaskets (although the ones on there now are only about 6 months old)
WD-40
Anything i'm missing? |

Well, you will need an exhaust manifold gasket, the cat needs to be fitted/welded to the extractors, a flange gasket for the join between the cat and the cat back. Some muffler putty is useful, and you should be able to reuse the existing rubber hangers, unless they are buggered.
Car ramps and car stands are recommended as well as a trolly jack.
It is easier with a friend, but doable on your own.

| Oh, I forgot to mention, the system is already welded/bolted up. It's off my EA. All that needs to be connected without bolts is the last little section that goes over the axle, into the muffler. Got a friend helping and will post pics. |

| What do you use for lube on the rubber mounts to get them on? Will WD-40 be enough? |

I didn't really use lube, but I'd say WD40 is fine or vaseline.

Finished her all up. Without a hoist or broad range of tools, it took my friend and I a bit over 4 hours and 150 profanities to buy parts, pull the old system out and chuck the new one in. It would've been a LOT easier with a hoist and not cheap backyard jacks and stands.
Only real issues we had were the rubber mounts, which didn't really match the stock AU locations, except for the two near the resonator. She still holds tight though and sounds amazing. Chucked a new K&N filter in before taking her out too. Accelerated easier, appeared to use less petrol and did a burnout i doubt the car was capable of doing with the previous system in place. |
