What a bunch of useless kents

I'm glad i dont live in perth or believe in taking my car to blood suckers like this.

You could have taken that $1500 and got some piece of s**t aftermarket ECU and got it running already, maybe not as good as OEM ecu but at least it'd be running.

Tell them to shove it, they've wasted the last few months of your life, you could've even but the old motor back in by now, pricks.

Sounds like its going the way mine was going. I was hopeful too and waited another 3 months before bringing it home with no further progress done.

Man, Such a great mod & so disappointing to read that it's taken so long, but keep ya chin up man, at least you have a skyline to drive around in.

I think if everyone is this thread says a little prayer to the car gods, you should have it back soon enough to enjoy! lol.

My EB was off the road a few wks ago finally getting the rear end fixed from an accident that happened a year ago, panel beaters said 4 days, ended up being 12 days in the panel shop, not including Sundays as they don't work Sundays. I was going to drive my mighty boy, but the carby $hit itself, so i ended up borrowing a VK bombadoore wagon that drank $300 of petrol in the 12 days i drove it. icon_twisted.gif

When i got my car back, i had the feeling it was like it was new to me again. Except this time it has a 5spd, was Auto when i bought it. So keep your chin up, and when you get it back & it's running, it will be like it's new to you again!

Cheers

Just read the entire thread today - such a disappointment indeed...but by the same token, if it was *that* easy everyone would be doing it.

*awaits keenly for someone to "do it"* icon_redface.gif

Kudos to making it all fit - I know Dan went through the same kind of issues and poor timeliness to boot as well with the electrics (read DVCT) !

revhead - what's the latest on yours ?

It's a pity you live so far away.. if I were in your shoes I'd be sticking my nose in there just about every day by now.

Hello All,

I called Matt today to give him the good news that it is all running, he even heard it over the phone.

The engine fired up first time after weeks of painstaking work. The BA system is stand alaone and works in unison with the old systems.
The fly by wire pedal is installed and any old wiring removed.

The PCM is recalibtrated not only to disable PATS but also reconfigure speed inputs and outputs, A/C and cruise control.

Full SSS mode is available as in BA.

This conversion could not be any more factory looking.

Regards,

Barry Batten.
