Ohhhh velvet to give it that better than GT suede feel.
Nice.
I might get into doing the interior like that.
Much work involved doing the dash in velvet or suede? |

Well the car came back from the panel shop yesterday looking better then ever, so today I decided to buy some fake carbon fibre sticker in silver to cover the dodgee carbon fibre on my side skirts and a small piece of the rear bar.
This is how the side skirts now look'
And this is a better pic of the dash,

Car is looking good mate. Sitting really well...though too low for my liking, taking speed bumps and drives must be a pain .
If you don't mind me asking, how much did the suede cost you to do the dash?

The tickford motor is now installed and running. I had the head shaved and an AU metal head gasket fitted as well as painting the motor while it was out.
We did find out that the motor had had a recent rebuild just prior to my uncle getting it, so its alot freasher then originally thought which mean mods will be coming as soon as funds premit |

Hey mate, I'm a big fan of your car. It's nice to see you just doing what you want instead of worrying about how it will look to other people.
I remember when I was talking about building a cruiser to one of my car mates(in my mind just wanted to make a comfortable fun car without doing any motor work) he started talking about how you need to get an exhaust and do this and that otherwise people will think it's s**t.
I was like, okay, great, but what do I care?
Lol. Anyway, love the car! Keep it up!

Well cant do it any other way. I dont see the point of building a car for anyone else.
But whats makes it great is comment like that oh and the fact that I was approached by a magazine to have a photoshoot of the car for the mag once I am happy with it |

| I paid $300 for the motor and auto box then $400 ish for new parts to guarantee reliablity, but today we have since found out my standard ecu is buggered or its not handling running the xr6 injectors and is basically flooding the motor on start up so a frantic search for an el xr6 auto computer is on |

| xr6 injectors are same as standard. The fuel reg is different though, maybe try changing it back to the standard one. |
