does anyone know if the radiator in an XG is the same as an EB - EL the motors are the same (4.0L), but i'm not sure about the brackets for mounting.
i went out and bought an xf radiator only to find it was completely different. spose i should've checked first. |

| From memory i was quoted in the range of $450 to $495 for a new XG radiator, so i decided to get mine professionally cleaned for $200. Then after seeing them do that, i realised it was money for jam, and have cleaned another of my radiators myself. Just get some new tank seals and do it yourself, no special tools required. |

I can't see why they couldn't weld it, unless the whole thing is rotten. If you press your finger against the fins, do they collapse? It may pay to get it cleaned at the same time anyway, but check with a radiator place. |

| OK, so when my XG decided to sprong 1000 leaks from its radiator, i went down to the auto shop and tried about 4 different radiators, non the same whatsoever only to descover the XG has a unique radiator set up. So my next option thanx to the good people at Bay Rd Radiators in Cheltnham/ Sandrinham was to get it re-cored. cost about $250 all up and was like new. and was done overnite! so give that option a shot coz its worked butifully for me! |
