You can have whatever combination of parts you want, I don't mind in the least. You tell me what you need and thats what you get.
The first flash tuner boxes are FINE, I am using one on the project ute, no problem with doing that for you.
I am actually in agreement with your "tune fade away" thought as well, I definitely reflash every 2-3 weeks and really its no problem, I set it going and do something else for 3 mins and we are all good. Why I have no idea but its been a happening thing ever since flash tuners were introduced for the AU I suspect. They certainly run crisp after you flash em again |

| Well since the others have gone public with their T-shirt sizes, I'll own up that at XXL I make the hat-trick of lardies. Maybe Tim only needs to get XXL made, although I'm surprised they're not made in XXXX-L in Queensland! Wonder why we need boost? |

| Got on the dyno today, 258rwhp with no problems. After only an hour of fine tunning it made 263.2rwhp. Last time prior to today I had it dynoed it made 147rwhp with a 2.5" exhaust, between then and now all I've done is upgrade the exhaust to a 3" system, and fit the blower all up resulting in an 80% increase in power. |

Its all good news, and the extra 116rwhp would be welcome
Top stuff
Just a few Q's
What fuel brand/grade did you run?
Are you getting nice shifts from the auto when you wind your little dash knob up?
How long did it take you to fit it? Working fast, steady or slow? |

Fuel is BP Ultimate, with the shift kit if I'm giving it a bit of a hard time it is good, but when driving normally I turn it off as it kind of clunks into gear. I think this is mainly to do with a tiered auto not the shift kit themselves.
As for fitting it, From start to finish was 6 hours but I was dragging my feet. Half the time would have been spent sitting around talking s**t and drinking beer. |

In the past few days I have done alot of research on superchargers. With slightly higher compression than standard(9.9:1) That I would be crazy to go more than 9 psi. Raptor..I went for a drive in a s/c xr8 au that would destroy even the best xr6t's or typhoons on the street. There was no waiting for power. Power on demand with massive torque. It seems in line with what stealth au is experiencing. I am convinced. I thought I would like an 11 second car but the street power is what makes a car responsive and great to drive on the street. if i go to the track with a turbo and have to sit there spooling for a few seconds before I take off then what sort of fast car is that? Not so impressive to me.
I dont need 300rwkws with that superior torque. I dont think well need as many killowatts to go as fast.
Having a worked motor for starters the wagon should put out as more power at the same psi as a stocker.A 60% lift in power seems the norm.170 rwkws add 60% should see mee ckose to 272 rwkws.!! This is good for a 12 second pass and all ill need to do is fit the unit.I cant be buggered to rip the engine apart to be a hero.I want it to scream.
I also want to contact an engineer here to discuss before I buy.I dont want a ba ..I want this to haul.
I want to get an idea on costs as I already have a few parts. I have the adjustable regulator,xr6t injectors and 500hp walbro pump. Please pm me a price for the remainder of the parts and if I can buy bits in stages.
Thanks
Stav |

| Onya Stav. BTW the injectors in Tim's kit are a bit bigger than the XR6T ones at 36lb nominal v's 29. Gunning for 272RWkW you'd need bigger than the XR6T ones most likely. Most tune packages for the XR6T seem to upgrade the injectors at a bit over 300FWkW which in an auto with a stallie would show maybe 200-220 RWkW. I'd suggest you size your injectors for at least 400FWkW at 75-80% duty cycle. |

| Stock xr6t injectors run out at around 262 rwkws.I may well run out of injector and need bigger ones if I go ahead.Sly..what hurdles are there for the legal side of things? I am not playing...I would love to do this but thats the deciding factor. |

Maybe this will help as well. This guy sounds as though he has been through a similar problem.

It seems that if lucky, then the engineer will simply look at the kit and pass it.However if they think it needs more then its a few hurdles to legality. I would need to pass emmisions, then sound test etc. It is doable but may involve a few more mufflers and possible a newer cat...possible a stock cam back in as well.
Im going to make a call tommorow. |

| The engineer asked for a meet consult. The car will need an emissions test to be passed. I will have to install emmisions compliant cam and maybe a newer cat to take it to the nth degree. |
