| which is better e series or x series 5spd gearbox? Looking at putting a 5spd in my xf panelvan, like 2 know which is stronger? |

There are 2 different 5sp boxes for the XF. The heavy duty unit, a T5, is the same one fitted to the EA.
The " Light duty" 5 sp box has a different shift pattern.
The HD 5sp, Reverse is next to 4th.
The LD 5sp has reverse next to 1st & 5th is in the usual spot. |
