ok here is alittle write up on how to change the background on the ea to ed trip computer..
--------------------------------------------------

first you need to remove the front of the trip comp by lifting the plastic lock tabs(be carefull not to break them).
there are 2 on top and 2 on the bottom.
the best way is to un clip the 2 top tabs and pull the face forward a little bit then un clip the bottom tabs..

now carefully pull the black face away from the circuit board this will come off easy as its only sandwitched in between the housing and the face.

now hold onto the circuit board, looking at the screen you will se a white plastic filter strip, using long nose pliers carefully but firmly pull the white filter strip so it slides out from under the screen.
the plasic strip may break but you should still be able to get it out.

once the filter strip has been removed turn the circuit board over to check all the white plastic has come out..
if there is any left try pulling it out with tweezers.

this is what the white filter strip looks like once it has been removed
note the bottom left corner usually breaks off as there is a small notch that holds it in..

now its just as easy as printing your design onto std printing paper cut it to the size of the screen (5.2cm x 2.3cm)and slide it behind the screen.

here are a few of the images i was playing with..

or you can use a pic of your car ..ect..
