Just confirming, are you running an E series computer or an AU type computer? |

I would suggest a 1636 since you have an auto. It may not idle as well if you get a 1673. 1636 cam that is dialled in properly can give you extra poke down low to mid range, or vice versa depending on what you want.
I also suggest you get a vernier gear with the camshaft so you can dial it in properly. Due to your head being shaven, the cam might be out by a degree or so. So for better tuning, a vernier gear will be handy.

We've done a couple of pairs of cams to date but are still awaiting feedback on the results. It all depends l guess on how far you want to go, performance wise. |

I will have customers wanting to advance their performance with an improved camshaft.
Do you have something to match up with a centrifugal blower system at 10psi for AU 6 auto with extractors/high flow exhaust. Probably looking at something to allow excellent power development to 6000rpm but with smooth idle and reasonable fuel economy.
Over to you ...... thanks in advance |

Where you're looking for low down "performance", the adding of "hotter" cams is likely to result in even worse performance at the bottom end. From what l've been able to find out from talking to people that are playing around with the BA XR8, it seems that leaving the cams standard and concentrating on "remapping" the ECU is having various levels of success. |
