Keen eyes will notice that I'm missing the face of my right indicator. It either fell off and I somehow did not notice or someone was kind enough to lighten my car up a bit and remove it for me.
I'll replace it soon, the weather was just too nice to pass up the photo opportunity.

nice clean car man. i like a lot. mine was that clean when i bought it... damn shopping trolleys and the careless bastards who use them!!
dont worry about the indicator, mine recently came off as well. the glue goes brittle and they fall off with the lightest provocation.

Thanks Nicco. Those photos show its best side, it does have a few scrapes and little dings here and there from the previous owner and d***head who can't manage their trolleys .
The left side mirror is not quite right, either. Some little prick-a***hole went up my street and vandalised every car parked on the street, stealing number plates and damaging cars as they went. Little s**t.
Thankfully the mirror body just popped off its post and all the wiring (and mirror plate) remained intact. It didn't go back on properly and now the mirror wobbles at high speeds, which is irritating.
If there is one thing I hate it's petty vandals. I suppose all you can do is hope that their pride and joy get's f**k up by some little s**t-head like them one day down the track.

ok there are WAY to many EF/L's here. so here my ED. looks stock in the pics but plenty to come soon. i got some XR lights of a guy on AFF (waiting 2 weeks for them to be delivered not sure if they ever will be...) some cosworth vents, and a boot lip spoiler, all of that will be painted up and put on once the lights arrive. i also picked up some chrome wheel arche's which i haven't got a chance to put on yet. also getting NL whether strips with the chrome strip though it and EF/L colour coded mirrors (once again just need to put it all on). inside so far ive put NL door trims and seats in, looking into making a black interior, just finding the right paints etc to use. soon to be dropped on king SL's and 15% tint. wheels will be going to ED spac 5 spokers with custom chrome, and mat black centers. anyway time for pics.
after an MFC beaches cruise. got a little dirty.
and when it decided to brake down on me, was meant to be a photo shoot with me and a couple of mates. note how clean it is :p (dizzy killed its self.)

Well, most of u know my XR8 and it has now reached a point where I'd prefer not to use it as an every dayer - so I've bought myself a daily driver. I was looking for an xf ute but too many rough ones out there, then I came across a 1 owner, 143,000km on the clock EB Ghia, the price was right so I snapped it up after the first drive and here she is. Needed a very very very good clean - been in storage for a fair while, although still registered. Under all the crud was a straight-as body with no accident damage, 2 tiny carpark dings and a few stone chips (front apron.)
Had her in my mate's detail shop for the past 2 weekends and gave it the works: touched up all the front-end chips, took the pinstripes off, replaced the headlights and front indicators with aftermarket clear units and put in a full pedders shock/spring kit. Fitted the alpine / focal system I had lying around last night and I've ordered another set of custom EB side repeaters in clear. I think I've found a missing wheel cap replacement and next week some whitewalls get put on. White Ford badges are on order and a little colour coding to the front and rear lower body lips will finish it off nicely. Hope u all like it.

Yes indeedy!
Probably an aftermarket "standard" Tickford kit as I don't think the EF Tickford kit had the larger door moulds. But I may be wrong. But still just a Tickford style kit at heart.

its an EL tickford skirt set. the EF ones were less chunky and the rear door pod was smaller too.

The 'larger door moulds' you speak of are from the EL XR kit.
The kit on that EL Fairmont is a standard Tickford EL XR kit.

Sexy rides guys!
Puts my EB Ghia to shame atm. It's looking a little rough around the front atm, but i've finally had the rear end fixed from being tapped in the a***. It looks pretty good, but my GT bar isn't lined up 100%. Still needs more work to make it fit 100% again.
Cheers
ToranaGuy

Tailies - Removed front lens, carefully painted (matte Black) selected parts of the inner reflective chroming, then put front lens back on and resealed. 100% legal, but a schmick subtle new look.
Front Sidies - Masked off clear centre area, then painted border / surround Gloss Black, plus Clear coats.
Got ideas for the front bar too

That XR is awsome what other mods you got in mind?
Mods seeing as this thread is 46 pages and everyone loves it can we sticky it?
Might be a good idea to sticky the "show as your BA" thread and maybe even put the threads in the "Garage"?
Let us know what you can do.

This is what mine used to look like before a run in with a few angry ba$t@rd Maori's. PS Im not saying they are all like this, but I said Maori's to give a description of how damn big they were.
Enjoy, The XR6 is now in automotive heaven.Clasified as write off due to chassis and newly tightened door gaps!!
Dorr pods made by me.
And after the crash
