I'm goin to the wreckers tomorrow to get a blend motor for my EL. I was wondering if there is anything i need to know, I know how to get to it and what it looks like(thanx to Krytox). Just was wondering if i need to take note of the position its in when I pull it out or if there is a way to test it?

Take a cordless drill with a long sharp drill bit. (around 5mm)

Yes you can butcher the motor off and pull the rivets through the heaterbox, but you'll bend the bracket,

Pop the 2 easy rivets and spin it round a bit.

The plastic crank pops out with a flat screwdriver.

also removal of the dash, take a LONG 3/8 extension bar with a 10mm socket on it. theres 4 main bolts knee high (2 either side and 2 center) when all screws, bolts, earth straps, wires etc are removed, LIFT the dash 2-3cm and pull it out.
