Yep understand that, but from what I have found out the GM 2 Blaster coils are a direct replacement for the V6 holden, so I am assuming some wiring or small loom would be required to suit the ford. |
you could also look at the blaster DIS coils, they are single post coil but can be wired in pairs for waste spark. they are only for use with DIS-2 DIS-4 and DIS-HO ignitions.

How does that work?
The Blaster DIS Coils 8230 (http://www.msdignition.com/coil_blaster_2_8230.htm) - in the User Instructions (http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/8230_frm21166.pdf), it only shows how 4 of them can be connected to the DIS-4. How are 6 set up?
Any idea on the differences between the DIS-4 and DIS-4 HO - is the HO able to be used on a road car - it talks about it being from drag application, etc.
A coil on plug setup would be nice, as it would get rid of the need to mount the coils somewhere and run ignition leads. I know I'm running out of real estate in my engine bay with the LPG and intercooler pipes. |
the coils can be wired in pairs. so you'd use 3 of the 4 chanels on the dis-4 |
