|
|
Hi,
Just wondering if it is possible to remove the chrome strip under the BA/BF tailights for plating. I want to have it refinished in a black chrome appearance. Also looking at having my badges done the same way. If i remove The badges can they be put back on or will i need new ones with new adhesive?
Any suggestions/help would be great.
Cheers
Brett. |

The badges are stuck on with double sided tape, you could apply new tape easily enough.
Unsure on the tail light strips. |

Unsure on the tail light strips. | isnt the chrome strip under th ba/bf sedan tail lights part of the unit that connot be unbolted?? just paint over it.. or see what a shop that specialise in "chrome plating" can do for you... perhaps they can give it a "shadow chrome appearance"?? the badges would be easy... |

Thats true, there is no reason why i can't give them the whole tail light assembly as i am sure they can mask it all up.
Does anyone know if the exhaust tip can be removed, or is it welded on to the exhaust? I really like the shape of the BF tip, and dont want to go aftermarket. If i start changing the other chrome parts then this would also need to be done. |

| I think you'll find that the tip is tacked onto the exhaust, but it would still be reasonably easy to get it off and get it redone, ten put it back on the car. |
