if you stay away from dirty women and use protection you should not get dose. icon_cool.gif

really tho, if u have metal pipes not rubber and a large intercooler you will still get dose with a bov running at high boost.

the only way to stop it is to use a 2 inch bov and vent all the air to atmo..... icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah doesnt take much to ruin the stock clutch.
Mines still stock and slips in 4th/5th if you make it pull from low down, or if you do a big rev/dump... all over times its ok, just ok lol

Doesnt that tell u not to dump it at big revs then??????

Why are u dumping it and why r u dumping it at big revs???

It wouldnt give u a good take off and ur car should be able to do a skid with around 2,000rpm or a little bit more

would an auto or a manual be the weapon of choice down the quarter mile. assuming both have around 280rwkw.

Someone commented in this thread saying their car would run 11s if only they had an auto? Why would it be so much quicker than the manual. I reckon the auto will get the slower takeoff.

They can take off much quicker and also they hold boost through gears and change just as quick if not quicker.
I raced my mate in hs XR6T 6-speed manual stock for stock and beat him (the driver was a bit rubbish but i still would have beat him)

Once u start modding them 2 the auto's come in a league of their own

Yeah auto for the strip for easy quick times... 12s are the norm for cars with just an Edit/250wkws, while a manual is hard to get a mid 13 with the same power.

But, there are guys doing 11s in manuals... slicks and strong clutch, and super fast gear changes, mid 300wkws and over

the manual run 13.83 @ 103.6mph
the auto run 14.26 @ 101.8 mph

but at the end of the day its going to come down to the driver.

Fair enough for stockers, but modded manual become very hard to get low 60ft times... getting the sweet spot between bogging and massive wheel spin on higher powered cars is very hard

Sounds like the auto is lemon, or maybe the manual is just a freak one.

Once i run my mate again i will let you know which is quicker given that sotck we were within 1rwkw (same day same dyno) and his is manual and 40,000km newer im happy with mine and now we both have the same mods so yea

If it ever breaks under warrenty and you have been doing burnouts make sure you not only get all the rubber spray off the wheel arces (all throw the arces not just behind the wheel i mean above it and in front off it) but make sure u get under the car and look back and check/clean the insdie of the rear bumper bar cos we d**k a guy in the eye with a typhoon with 16,000km on the clock and 2nd set of wheels and both plates in the twin plate clutch were ROOTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So just giving u the heads up
