howdy, can you run a msd 6al ignition box through a ems 8860, im going to be running a standard dissy (not coil packs) with a ems igniter and a msd coil, should i run the msd igntion box as well for stronger spark, or would it be fine with out it, cheers.

I am not sure if there are many people on here that have done the conversion that you are talking about, but I know there are some on boosted falcon, try there (www.boostedfalcon.net)

hook the ems direct to the msd then to coil, the msd will do the job of the ignitier so the ems one wont be needed.

You will still need an ignitor with the ems, as you will use the points input of the msd which needs a 12-0v signal, the ems only outputs 0-5v signal.
