| Just had tuned and had a problem, it made 280rwkw at 3300rpm but keeps breaking down, they said its the coil. Does anyone have any suggestions? They said use LS1 coils cause they have built in ignitors |

Nice effort man. I guess there would be even more in it when ign problem fixed?
Anyway, i had a car a while ago that was supercharged and suffered similar symptoms. I bought an MSD coil that was only about $120ish. Worked a treat. Pretty sure i used the standard igntier. This was not on a falcon, but i can't see why it still wouldn't work.
You still running a dizzy and single coil i assume? |

Hey,
Nice effort. My Turbo EL motor had the same problem. My cause was the fact i had hooked up the ems ignitor together with the ford tfi......It is prolly the tfi, so you will more than likely need a new dissy. I have an MSD 6AL, and blaster2 coil, and it is flyin. I would suggest you spend the money and get a decent ignition set-up, or you could end up maybe having detonation probs, and then it's kiss your head gasket goodbye.
What EMS you running?? Hope you get it sorted soon
Cheers

| make sure you have good plug leads... i had breaking down caused by crappy top-gun leads. im now using ic&e with no dramas, oh, and i have a crane hi-6 and lx92, using distributor, but no tfi module, i gutted my dizzy to use a direct connection from the hall sensor to the ecu, the hi-6 is triggered by the sm4 |
