All the parts have been ordered and will be arriving in the next two weeks. I buy most of my bits direct from overseas and bypass the greedy local middlemen ... helps keep end price down. All the bits have arrived and have assembled a whole bunch of the PCBs. Have tested one of the "production" versions and all works as expected. Takes a bit of time to assemble each one as there are three thousand parts in each (OK, that is a slight exaggeration). I do enjoy making stuff so assembly is actually enjoyable. Have made the jigs for routing all the various holes in the cases. Have written the new user guide. Have incurred a small delay with the front graphic label. The label manufacturers had to have the artwork as a CDR file (Corel)... Corel is expensive... took me ages to find a "cost effective" copy. Anyway, have produced the artwork and it is being done by the printer. Delivery is in about 3 to 4 weeks. Attached is a pic of some of the units in their naked state. Add postage on top of that. I'll be investing in one of the digital suckers once I have a full time job, got my car resprayed, and got my air con regassed for the summer. OK, have completed a bunch of the units. See attached pics. The Diagnostic Code Reader (DCR) unit comes with:- 1. The DCR Unit 2. User guide/code tables - 70 pages 3. CD-ROM with USB drivers (XP, Vista, Mac, Windoes CE/Mobile, PC Pocket, etc) and utilities. 4. USB cable 5. XF/EA/EB Adapter cable. I won't list the price here as they will be a "Fordmods-price".... I will also be offering this on eBay.... (will be listed later tonight).... don't want the forums price to be able to ne googled. PM me if you would like one. Thanks for your patience.
