well.. what a week i've had.. finally she's up and running (again!!) after putting the timing chain back together on wednesday with EL gear cogs and not really looking at the marks on the crank gear and bending every last MOTHER FKN exhaust valve, fking two valve guides and breaking four rocker arms!!! I now have a fully rebuilt ED XR6 Head ... and holly FKN s**t!!! does it go now.. will take it in to get a tune sometime within the next few weeks, now the missis has got herself a new car i can have my daily back for work the XR can wait untill then... |

ok, so i thought i'd make an update on what ive been doing, since i got the car back together I noticed a litle bit of clutch slipage.. so I picked up an Xtreme kit, KFD26001XHD, a few weeks ago (Bathurst weekend) and was going to fit it during the week, but ended up burning my arm with second degree burns , so after several weeks of healing I was able to use it again.. and got a chance on monday to fit up my clutch .. |

it should be putting out about 200 rwkw I'm very happy with that.. (for now)..
As for the sump, I used a air chizel to poke a hole, then opened it out with a larger punch then got another punch larger again to open it out enough to tap a thread into it I used a 3/4 BSP tap. but before I attacked the sump on my car I got an old sump to test and perfect it.. Took me three of for times before I got it right.. |

I did think about moving the battery, but not like the idaa of runing the wireing, it was much easier making up the piping.. |
