haha nah tad too wide for drifting
anyway, got a new toy for Powercruise
"This is Bee*R’s popular two-stage ignition cutting rev-limiter. It is used to prevent damage arising from over-revving your engine.
The way in which it works differs from the factory rev limiter in that it is an ignition cut, as opposed to a fuel cut. The reason for this is because if an engine (particularly turbocharged) regularly hits a fuel-cut rev limit (such as in high performance driving, or particularly drifting) engine damage can arise due to the lean condition produced when the original ECU shuts off the fuel pump. The BEE*R rev-limiter allows fuel to pass into the engine still, limiting engine speed by disabling the ignition signal. The Bee*R rev limiter is fully adjustable in 500rpm increments, for safety reasons allowing only a lower rev-limit to be configured than standard. If you have spent a lot of money tuning your engine, or are running at high RPM’s for extended periods of time, it could be recommended to run a lower rev-limit to prolong engine life. Both Formula 1 and JGTC cars use ignition cutting rev limiters, so it is a fully race proven concept.
*The Bee*R can also be used as a “two stage rev limiter”, as an aid for launching your car. The Bee*R is configurable for two different rev-limits. A lower rev limit can be activated by a switch, the handbrake switch often being used. This configurable lower limit, can be set to the optimum RPM to launch your particular car from in 500rpm increments. When the handbrake is released, the usual rev limit comes into action, allowing quick launches, and full performance down the strip.
The Bee*R rev-limiter has another final neat feature. The gain control knob allows you to adjust the frequency of the ignition cut.
Available for use with all rotary, 4 and 6 cylinder engines. (No V8 application) "
ordering a polished snort intake plenum this week (PerthEseries group buy - people are still able to join group buy, so do it )
picking up the turbo and rocker cover this week
rear turbo housing - double coat (black) ceramic coated
front housing - translucent green candy with gold pearl
rocker cover - green candy with gold pearl
all are ceramic coated, so it will lower bonnet temps slightly while looking awesome |

Hey tocchi, saw you a couple of weeks ago in westfield. I was standing on the corner of champion drive and westfield road behind my car on the phone and saw (heard lol) you drive past in the FG.
Then probably two minutes later i was in the car and drove past you... Car looks nice. |

NAlane, sweet haha. cant remember you, only because i cant even remember what i had for brekky yesterday
haha matt no s**t aye... it will go rather nice with the 3.5" exhaust exiting under the drivers door, that comes straight off the dump pipe (no cats, no mufflers)
gav, ive been away for the last week for work, but the week prior to that, i was chasing that electrical fault.
and im leaving again 2moro morning for work.
but the EF now has 3 (engine) oil coolers (in series)
1st) the small oil cooler it always had
2nd) the tranmission cooler
3rd) the radiator cooling section for tranny
(remembering im going T5 so i dont need those) |

the radiator expansion tank is nearly complete
all Josh has to do is the bottom barb fitting, and a few mounting brackets.

wow lack of update again.
the snort plenums were a hassle - poorly tapped threads. and the 2 plenums i ordered didnt come with the throttle cable bracket or vacuum barbs.
i had to re-tap the threads for the vacuum lines.
anyways, enough about that
1) suspension:
i got custom Koni Yellow coilovers made for the front, Koni Yellow Adjustable shocks for the rear, and a 30mm front & a 25mm rear swaybars

2) tune:
went for a tune on Thursday arvo, only for the throttle cable to snap on the dynp.
after a lot of rushing about, managed to get one 5.30
and then on the Friday, my PBR 5 puck ceramic button clutch started slipping as soon as i hit boost... gaybar!
happy snaps
