I have had my dash out of my EL xr6 so I could reinforce my pedal box now with everything back in I find I have no power front windows and the light above the ignition stays on, any ideas..

maybe you have forgotten to plug back in the windows switch under the console. It is a wide flat white one. As for the ignition light, I'm not sure

A loose earth can do all sorts of crazy s**t, that'll really f**k ya.

Check all the earts are tight.

Nope that plug is plugged in also the one at the front of the console under the dash. Also all of a sudden the door ajar larm sounds when I lock the car with the key pad, all doors are shut tight and lock but the horn gives a few toots.

did you tighten up the earth strap in front of the dash just under the windscreen, near where the sun load sensor would sit.

Power windows fixed, forgot to put the relay in at the back of the fuse panel....
