| i am trying to install a cd player into an xe falcon and i finally got the power right after it playing up and blowing fuses and only turning on when the head lights were on but thats all sorted as i used the power from the cig lighter but now it works and plays cds but there is no sound at all yes the speakers are all connected so any help will be great thanks |

When you were playing and blowing fuses, I assume this was with the head unit connected? You may have blown the amp curcuit in the head unit. |

| Dude I advise you hook the +12v lead to the battery instead of the power sources within the car. They are all probably fused at a much lower rating than your CD player is going to draw. |

| problem solved it was a screw put through one of the speaker wires earthing out the whole lot its all working now i only blew fuses by bumping two of the wrong wires togethor but thanks for the help |

HAHa I did that to my EA putting in the CD Changer. Drilled a hole straight through the central locking loom. Ah well we all live and learn. |
