For a BA the only safe way is SVI. Don't consider any type of old-tech converter/mixer setup Cooky. Or wait a few more months until LPI (Liquid Phase Injection) is rolled out nationally (or book a trip to Melbourne after July 1). LPI will be the duck's nuts with boost, it'll be like driving on a cold night all the time...

Anyone have any experience with the Prins SVI system that is getting around, for the XR6 Turbo Falcon's?

My g/f is thinking about converting her TX5 Turbo, and i've had a very brief talk with a prins fitter, who adv they don't see why it couldn't be fit to the Tx5 Turbo, which is efi btw.

Only thing i can see is that it won't be a " plug in " install like they promote in the XR6T flyer.

Cheers

so basically what else would i need besides say an impco 425?
i already have a standard impco system on my car and know i'll probably have to go double lines and etc but just not sure about mixers and converters etc.

If they are anything like the GRA setup's the converters will need to be fed with boost to the atmo port to make sure it keeps delivering fuel when manifold goes from vac to boost.

Nobody has a Prins setup yet?

That pic of TurboTaxi really worries me, such a simple setup, i'd hate to see the a/f ratios on a graph!

Isn't the Prins system the one Parnell rebadge and sell as their "Parnell" system? They don't call it "Prnis" for nothing on AFF, there is a legendary tale of woe there. FFS get something, anything, else.

TurboTaxi is now up to more than 50,000 trouble-free km on the system as pictured, his AFR's seem to be just fine. Sometimes the simple stuff just works. I have an equally-simple setup on my SC AU that just works despite all the predictions of doom.

Speaking of TurboTaxi, he also has an XR6T with SVI that was the first to be fitted with whatever kit he has. It was used for emissions compliance testing. He can give you a recommendation for a good SVI system.

Interesting! I'll have to have a good read of the AFF then won't i?

Yes the Prins is what parnell are currently rebadging & selling.

I've got an early parnell SVI setup on my EB, which is all EasyJet hardware. I'd love to turbo it but i've been adv it's only good for 200KW @ flywheel, and it doesn't take many mods to get that far. I'd be surprised if it would run on a mild turbo setup on my EB. I do know i can get slightly bigger injectors than what i currently have, but i doubt they are worth it.

Cheers
