|
|
I have been having trouble with my headlights blowing. I tested the lights and they are at 14volts. When under load they go to 13.5. I was told the maximum for lights should be 12volts.
Is my regulator stuffed and where abouts is it located so it can be replaced? |

OK. First don't touch the glass it's a no no. If you do wipe it with a dry cloth very good.
Second maybe you are using cheep globes. Try using philips globes they are a number 1 product.
Third maybe you mite have a intermintant over charging problem.
Last but not leased check the headlight plugs if they are overheated or loose.
GOOD LUCK. |

| Your regulator is working OK at 14 volts, the person that told you 12 volts max. is dreaming. |

I am using plus 50s which are a $35 globe so no they not cheap. And i know not to touch the glass and the plugs are fine.
So my reg being at 14v means it's no good and could be causing the problem? |
