Posted: Fri Jan 28, 2005 9:13 pm Post subject: RDA brake Rotor quality question |
|
|
I have spoted some cheap EF ABS front brake rotors on EBAY, they are RDA brand for $55 each, and mine are stuffed and in need of replacement. As I am not after a performance rotor these seem to fit the bill, does anyone have any comments negative or positive about them and the dealer HBA performance parts. Also the bearing kits are cheap as well should I be wary of them?

They perform equal to DBA.
In slotted form there is not very much difference in appearance, but the RDA slots go to the edge of the rotor where the DBA dont.
The RDA hub seams to rust after a week r so from weather and looks kinda ugly; depends how pucky you are tho, you could always just paint em up.
Yes, I use both, I find the rusty look the only thing which would make me not get them again; however as i said its just on the hub, not the rotor so it might not be noticable with more closed in rims. |

thats why you clear cost that area before you put it on the car always prevents rust |

Thanks everyone, I think I might invest in the RDA rotors and some HT paint for the hub section. Busy doing an interior transformation at the moment so I might have to hold off a bit.
Cheers

If you paint them with a high temp paint they do look great
espicially if they are painted in gold. Looks awsome..
make sure that you let the paint dry fully then put a clear
coat to seal the paint to stop the break dust getting into the paint.. |
