Well i shall be going to Poland begining of July and am after a video camera.

Some constraint are:
Money wise it has to be around the $800 although if good give or take a couple hundred.

i dont mind seeing ones for 900 or so though, as i can get some of this stuff cheap.

I had in mind JVC, or a Panasonic. Not really to keen on dedicated dvd-Rom though. Wouldnt mind too much a HDD in it, but would rather a DV tape one.

Panasonic for sure. I have bought a few panasonic products, and swear by them. Not a huge fan of Sony, but thats only an opinion. If you can get duty free, some of the prices arn't that bad.

Oh right, atm, im looking at the JVC HDD cameras although i was put of it because of the camera in my price range doesnt have a good quality in the dark...

Sooo.....

Im probably going to go for a Panasonic NV 300GS it'll be 1249 - GST so around $1100.... But what i want to do is transfer the movie on the tape to my laptop while im over there.... now i dont know how well the pictures will come out after the transfers... (had a look at castles thread in off topic)
