|
|
hey guys,
me and my mate are arguing about what is a better sub!!!!
Rockford Fosgate top of the line sub (think its their Punch range)
or
Cerwin Vega top of the line (think its their Stroker Pros?)
my vote is for RF!
what do you think?
OR...
is there some other professional top of the line subs that match these?
thanks
Daniel and Tom! |

depends..... what are you after? something that sounds good, something that booms like a mofo, or a bit of both?
my personal favourite is the JL Audio W7 series |

The rockford subs are very tough and have a good bassy punch while handeling lots of power.
I have found the stroker series subs to be great for SPL particuarly because you can tune the sub to suit different enclosures. I would say they are better for SPL not as good for SQ, but i dont think either is a bad product. |

The Team RF stuff is purely SQL. Quite amazing subs, although disappointing that they havent been updated with the rest of the RF line for 2004/2005, still running the same 03/04 setup. Their response curve is very peaky, great for those running sine waves at a set frequency, and thats about it. No doubt they would s**t over most other subs, but any SQ enthusiast would spit on them. Team RF range is bleeding edge technology, and SPL
The Power series is the top of the line in their true production range. If youre having an argument about something you've never heard or seen, let alone know the name of, I'd say its a waste of breath |
