Here's how the EA looks now. It hasn't changed much visually since February (when I last posted photos of it), but it's had a few mechanical upgrades, including extractors, high flow cat, and EF thermos. Visually I've just added the XR lip spoiler since then. I did a terrible job of painting it, but further down the track I want a respray anyway.
The engine bay is still ugly

dare ya to chuck an EF interior in it! | Haha. Interior's staying as is. All the interior changes have been subtle (except for the change from auto to manual), but just make it look a lot tidier. It's got the EBII climate control and trip computer, ED Ghia leather wrapped steering wheel, ED interior plastics (except for the upper B-pillar, due to the different seatbelt locations), and EL Ghia kickpanels. I must admit it's a very photogenic car. The paint is certainly not perfect (particularly the stuff that I painted!) and it's got a few small dints here and there.
As for the engine, I'm probably just going to run it into the ground before an AU engine will take it's place.

The EBII-ED had lighter grey plastics. I replaced all mine because the EA interior C-pillar trims all go flaky and faded. The A-pillars all had broken clips too. You'll see in my interior shot that the upper b-pillars are a completely different grey to the rest of it. I can get away with 2-tone pillars because of the 2-tone seats. The reason for this is that the EBII-ED front seatbelts are mounted about 5cm higher than EA-EB1, so I had to retain the EA upper b-pillar. I also had to modify the c-pillar trims slightly, due to the wires for the rear demister going through at a different spot.
Here's pretty much everything I replaced, except the kickpanels. So sill panels, pillar trims, rubbers, grab handles, the trims around the roof, even the seat bases!

Nice work Dezza !
Must admit, I haven't seen yours with all its new bits - the kit and SVO bits make it stand out a little more than the usual suspects.
Kudos

| Thanks mate. I've always preferred the darker interiors too. People have told me I should put an ED Ghia interior in, but I prefer this one, plus for an 18 year old interior, it's still in good nick. No rips, no stains, it's doing well.
