OK I am seriously thinking about upgrading my standard diff to LSD 3.45 in my EL Fairmont.
Now from reading the forum I gather I don’t have to change the diff but just the centre, can these bits be brought off the shelf or do I have to pick up a second hand/reco centre from a wreckers or something?

What are the bits I need worth (second hand /new)
Also what would fitting be worth on this?

Thanks for your help. icon_smile.gif

all you need is a LSD hemisphere and the 3.45 crown wheel and pinion, its a good idea to do your bearings whilst your in there too

Preston Automatics and Differentials
54 Shower Street
Preston Victoria
(03) 9416 9935

They do a fair few cars.

$750 for a rebuild on your existing diff, and any gears you want. Then add $350 for LSD. Including fitting.

When the time comes (in about a month or so), i'll be going in for a 3.7 LSD icon_smile.gif
