Hey guys,

In the next few weeks ill be doing some more mods to my car, including, some new wheels, xdrilled rotars, new springs and shocks, nolathane bushes, and lots of other suspension work.

What im wondering is, I will be getting Kmac springs.. 2" front end drop, and 2.5" rear end drop. What shocks would be good for these? would I need shortend shocks? I am not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for these, as im on a budget, so what would be the best bang for buck shock?

Now, for the rotars, I need new rotars so im thinking of going for a x drilled and slotted. Are they worth it? and how much would I be looking at for front and rear?

Also, Is anyone on here running nolathane bushes? Are they really as good as everyone says? And would I need a camber/castor kit?

21 questions.. :p

Regards,

Rob

well a 2" drop is basically lows or XR ride height so and decent shokc ie monroe will be fine
i woudl go teh KYB as i have them and they are f**k good
around $100 for the rears and about $100 each for the front
pity they dotn work well at super low height ( i hava fix for this... )
as for the nolathane... icon_smile.gificon_smile.gificon_smile.gificon_smile.gif it is king! makes sure teh bushes get a good dose of the grease that is supplied or it will seak liek f**k and the bush will wear. noloathane is good as it dont squish as much as rubber and lasts longer.

Rotors, get a set of slotted only they will be fine, not sure on cost for your car but about $140 should be about write. a set of new pads at the same time is advisable.
camber castor kit is a yes/no answer depends on how low the car is going and it can be done at a later stage and is about $200

well i can speak a bit here since my car is in the shop today getting all new suspension and brakes.

i went with kings super low springs and a set of KYB shortened shocks. the shocks cost $450 for all 4 from autobarn [yes i need a trade mate]. i did a bit of research and asking people and all recommended the KYB shocks over someting like monroe.

as for brakes i went with DBA slotted rotors up front, RDA standard rotors for the back and Bendix Advance pads all round. this is another setup that i have heard nothing but good news from. i can tell you prices and places on the lot if you wanna shoot me an email at cixelsyd01@hotmail.com
