Hi all.

I got a squeak coming from the p/s pump area. I sounds like it's low fluid, but the fluid level's fine.

It happens when the engine's warm, not cold from what I've noticed and is dissapears above about 1800RPM.

Any ideas?

I doubt it. Bearings get worse with speed, not better.

check all the belts, making sure they are not breaking up on you, also, make sure there is no oil on the belts, there is also a bearing in the adjustable pully for the power steering pump ... I've seen then brake up and sweak heaps.

CRC Belt grip (It's in a green can) works great on dry noisy belts.
Just spray it on then start the car and leave idleing until noise dissapears.

I was going to make a crack about a dehydrated mouse on a treadmill - but thought better of it.

Kewel. I'll try the CRC. Thanks guys.

I've never seen a bearing get better, or quieter with increased speed in my experience. That's why I don't think it's a bearing.

Try the 2 bearings inside the tensioner and a/c idler pulleys.
They go all the time - but you can replace just the bearing for $5 each from any parts place - don't have to buy the whole pulley assembly.
