|
|
Hi Blu here, i have an XR8 AU Series III.
The premium sound system has gone off with a red light appearing on the left hand side.
The battery is fully charged and the stereo was working yesterday.
I am at a loss as to how to reset the stereo.
Any idea's would be much appreciated.
Cheers

The display is off - or the stereo is turned off?
It's possible to turn off the display but keep music going by simply holding down the volume knob for 5-10 seconds. |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I have no display at all or sound, the red light that is on is next to the load button.
I do not have the stereo code and do not want to disconnect the battery although i will if i have to.
It just appears strange that it was working and overnight the red light has appeared.
I will try holding the button in.
I am feeling that perhaps a cd is stuck.
Thanks and any more advice would be great as all i have been told so far is take it in and the dealer will sort it out and at a cost
Cheers blu |

Does sound a bit like stuck CD - or some other error.
I actually think the dealer too. At least to ask what the light means. |

Hey Blue,
I had that happen to my XR6, simply open the fuse panel (under the dash) and use the little tweezers and pull out the fuse for the radio, then put it back in.. Make sure before u do this u have the security code.. punch the code in once u have out the fuse back in and it'll all be sweet..
just saw u dont have the code.... go into ford and request the code, they are able to give you the code for it. |
