because big, fat, 20 inch chromies weigh a s**t and have heaps of traction which causes heaps of friction between the tire and the road.
weight + friction means that there slowing the car down.
so they keep the back ones for more traction but get rid of the front ones to save weight. |

are you sure that's right? i mean not your physics sense. but so they can save weight coz of big chromies.
often they are just your average 17 18 and 19's.
i just thought it was for a fun new activity on the road or something. |

Why? Are you talking about a trip to a burnout pad or eveyrday style? |

I dunno about this
Doesnt seem right you would make your car look ugly and unbalanced for the sake of maybe 5-10kg per wheel on a 1.5t or so car...
Prolly just some new 'craze' |

How about this being the answer,
They have gotten big loans to buy their car, then they have gotten another loan for the big mag's and tyres,
a huge loan for the audio and visual system + they have maxed out their credit cards on brakes and suspension's upgrades.
Plus they have the cost of rego, insurance and fuel and also living expenses,
Add all these expenses together and you find that they can not afford to buy new tyre's for their car.
That is why you will be seeing more people using stockie's on their car's on the road. |

| i think the first repsonse seems the most logical however. it wouldnt save that much weight anyway. but i have seen many commy's and falcs with it done. |

| Dude, that's way old, the ultimate weight saving tip is to go down to SuperCheap and grab a box of 5 stud wheel trims. Knock the little plastic "bolts" off, run your drill down, and bolt the hubcap right onto your f**k' hub! then if you want, get a whole heap of old megaphones and take the rubber ring off the outside and slide it on, and you can be rollin' on 13's brah! |
