|
|
hey guys
just a quick question, ive got a striaght gas engine from an AUII, and i want to put the AUII straight gas engine into AUI with a duel fuel setup. Would this work? Would it still be able to run on petrol? Would i still be able to use the same ECU?
thanks |

NO the au2 straight gas engine ( green rocker cover ) does not have fuel rails or fuel injectors it also runs a different gas convertor
then there is the problem the AU2 has bigger gas tanks and no petrol tank so u would need to buy a gas tank for the au1 to fit in the boot
alot of f**k about be easier to add gas to you au1 after the government rebate it is about $1400 |

umm u would need to fit a fuel rail to the engine which will require an Au1 intake manifold, the gas engine manifold does not have the holes for the injectors.
and i think the gas engine has differnt pistons/comp ratio and rings so not sure how it would go on petrol |

If all you are transferring is basically a "long motor" without manifolding or anything else, you should have no probs. The AU e-gasser's are basically a petrol engine with hard valves / seats (excluding intake manifold etc etc) |
