|
|
| I have a vibe (purple) ba xts. Lowered with king superlows, lukey exhaust with quad tips, changed the rotors and added slotted and cross drilled discs, limo tint on the windows, am about to get 19" 5 spoke chromies, painted brake callipers, and painted parts of engine as well to add charm, and i have removed the falcon and XTS badges as well. i want to get any suggestions/tips that peoplebe might have out there, inside and out. anything else would appreciated. |

get over calling it an XTS... its really an XT with factory fitted body kit and 17's... The s stickers were just added by a few dealers... the car is exactly the same as an XT...
if u arent scared of spending the $$$ put XR seats in it.. theyre heaps better |

s**t you are doing alright to have a BA XT with all that done to it for a 17 year old. I assume you dont have it insured in your name?. Yeah to have those mods done to it then heaven forbid something to happen. It would be a waste. |

I probably wouldn't even dare asking ford for a price, but i wouldn't say 5k, as carbon fibre bonnets retail less then that.
Best bet look around wreckers, nrma wrecking yards etc... |

yeh except the SR got rear power windows and leather steering wheel and cruise control... The XT with sports kit was literally just an XT with the kit and the wheels... A few dealers added the S to the end just to make it stand out... |

| From memory when I got a quote on a BA turbo, to get teh bonnet was another $3500 - I'm not sure my memory was correct but talking it through with the salesman he agreed they were overpriced to deter people from doing it. They'd obviously rather sell you an XR8 than an XR6T with a bonnet bulge. Tossers I say |

| Good on 'em! I hate looking at XR6Ts with bonnet bulges. They may be quicker but it's still not an 8. |

What a bunch of theives. How can they really charge that amount for something they have a press for that does the same as the other metal press.
Personally I think to save costs have only I type of bonnet the bulge 1 for the whole range. Why the 2 types of V8 mtrs have the XR8 1 in a detuned state for the other models. Why not offer the tubo 6 in other models as a upgraded option. Some people like premium models over XR's but would like a turbo offered as a option.
Holden did it with the VL and they are still a sought after car the Turbo more than the 8. More of a image car than the N/A6 XF's

| in case u didnt know.. u can order an XR6, XR6 turbo, or XR8 now with the full dash out of a fairmont ghia, including full premium sound and climate control, and these really nice leather/suede seats. All in all i think they come up wayyyy nicer than a standard fairmont... esp if u put 18's on it... it is a $4000 option tho |
