|
|
okay, i have photoshopped up ideas for my taillights, but I need to figure out how I could do them or who could do them for me.
I have used the "nightshade" before, but was unhappy with it as it has a matte finish when used on the outside of the lens and does not tint dark enough when used on the inside for the amount of light transmission. Was hoping there is a way I could overcomethis problem or if there is a better product? I am looking for it to be gloss/reflective, similar to window tints.
Cheers

I'm sure a window tint place would do it for you if you brought in your lights.
I used nightshade on mine and yes it comes up very dull but when you put a few layers of clear coat on it's all sweet. I'm very happy with mine.
On you tube they show you how to tint your tail lights with window tint. Might be worth checking them out. |

If you wanted to tint it using the sheets there would be no hassle at all in doing so.
The tail lights on EF have no crevaces or badges like my ED does, so plastic tinting would be a simple 10 minute job. |

taped up after first coat of nightshade
had to go to work so back on the car yesterday arvo
pulled them off again today and taped them up but sprayed with normal black paint (as too much light got through the lines where i didnt want it after 5 coats of nightshade).
them drying, just need to sand back and hit up the clear coat. Note that they are darker than in the image below, but look slightly lighter than in the image above and the reflector still works....so hopefully wont be any trouble
