nice one brett, soon as i get the engine mounts done mine will be over at joes to do a dyno run to see what if any extra Kw i got with a few mods i have done.
OK, today at Crescent we had another little paly and returned a lazy 177 rwkw. And after much sorting and some issue with the New NOS kit it was finally given a squirt. No i need to say, it was running rich as hell and wasnt strapped down, so the 596NM of torque and 240rwkw are an indication of what is still to come. Pictures and fresh vid to follow later this evening.
Cheers

Is that with a 150 shot of nos mate? It looks to be coming together nicely. How many runs down the strip do you get out of a bottle? I love the efi nos plate idea...
The 240rwkw video link. Note is is blowing the spark out. And scaffy that is a full 250 hit, my exhaust is hurting it at this stage, need bigger primaries.
The pic will be added when i work out how to shrink it to within the size limits
That's nuts! The spark blowout is very noticable. Is fixing that just a matter of changing heat rating in plugs and closing the gap or is there more to it than that?
It will require colder plugs and reduced gap, but as can be seen in the photo the AFR's were 10:1 so i also need smaller fuel jets. I went one size bigger on the gas jet and made little if any noticable difference to the AFR's so now i will go lots smaller on the fuel

For those that looked at the video, a small tip for beginners, dont hold a cigarette whilst filming, looks like there is smoke coming from the back of the motor, but its just wafting past the lense as i was filming
Haha, yeah i have had that prob alot too brett, pain in the a*** when your showing people, and they say..... hay, is that smoke pouring out of your car?
Excellent results brett, And has been a good read so far. Shall be good once all is sorted and is a comfortable driver.
Yes, we couldnt understand why it wont crack 190 NA, and feel that the exhaust is the let down. The flanges actually shroud part of the exhaust port so i need at least 1 7/8 in primaries, which means custom. I didnt want to do this until the 427 went in, but now i want to see how far the 5.0 can be pushed, and to do that i need new extractors.

No 4 has not turned up yet, so was 7 MSD leads and one stock AU lead. I will look at the de fillipos, as they will be cheaper than custom. Thanks for that guys. I have ordered some .014, .016 and .018 fuel jets from summit. They come in packs of 8 and are 37 US, as opposed to 8 dollars each here in AUS.
