Nah I can't talk at the moment I just cough my guts up. I got my mum to ring up (I've got her car at the moment). They didn't tell her. She doesn't know anything about this sort of stuff.
Looks like the wife will be the first to drive it.

If she thought it was scary when the TB was done she is going to s**t herself now after the tune. icon_lol.gif

What's the weather meant to be doing tomorrow? If it's raining, she may be doing more than s**t herself! Haha...

What a bummer that you're sick. Hopefully you're feeling somewhat better tomorrow to be able to at least take the big girl for some hurts around the block.

Thanks Scaffy. I'm pretty darn excited about it. Its so smooth now. Lost some of its lumpiness at idle.
Gets 490nM as well if I'm reading the graph correctly.

Wife loves it. Responsive and smooth. A little better today. I'll drive it when I stop coughing.
Now I can sink the boot in cause its not lean a f**k. I've been driving it since the heads have been on pretty easy and not going above 3 grand rpm. Its like the gods wanted me to not ruin the engine. The Windsor Gods were smiling on me for keeping it all Ford.

Nice work Timmeh!!
260rwhp is a nice result. Seems about spot on as Davo's AU 220 that your heads and cam came off made 250rwhp with exhaust, extractors, CAI and K&N filter and 10.5:1 AFR's. So with a good tune Simon was certain he could get another 10-20rwhp out of it with taking some fuel out of it.
Peak power at 5250rpm seems about right also.
Have you got the graph with the torque you can post up?
I bet its going to feel alot smoother now, You might have to pop in some time, or visa versa, so i can check it out.

Now dont be shy and get yaself ready for September to get the last set of numbers you need.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff.

I'd have to say that most of this is due to you and your mate Dave selling me those heads and cam at a very reasonable price and of course the government for the $4200 baby bonus. Then you sourced the clutch and let me try two EL GT ECUs.

I'll be ready for September. Should be able to pull over a full second off my 15.8 previous.

If anyone wants to know costs I'll post it all up. Not s**t low figures to make myself feel better. I've got all the reciepts.

Up to 4,500rpm our power outputs are very similar Timmeh. The tune definitely sharpened up the top end.
These engines are just so economical and tractable on the street that I'll never own another. Won't be hearing stock doesn't rock anymore will we!!!!!!!!
