Ok thanks, so what about the little U turn peice that runs off it about half way along?
What's it do and can it be safely cancelled out? |
I think it is a resonator that kind of acts like a capacitor to absorb sudden changes in air flow with dramatic changes in throttle position. |

Pete is right, the little dongle's main function is to help reduce reversion up the intake pipe.
Engine bay is looking good there, about all i can suggest is a nice set of MSD leads, |

| I know this thread is old as, just wondering if Timmeh has had the chance to run his car down the 1/4 mile yet. Keen to see what 193rwkw in an E-series equates to!! Good work with the car. |

Have no fear it will be run down the 1/4 in approximately 3 weeks next Wednesday.
I'm on late shift for two weeks so that rules me out for 2 then on the 3rd week I'll be there to give it a squirt. I'm dialling in a 14 second flat pass. If I got that I'd be a happy man. Mainly cause the driver has improved. If I still suck then I think a 14.5 will be good.
Thanks for the interest. I'll post up the time slip when it comes in. |

| Have been keeping a keen eye on this one as Im pretty much doin the same thing...GT40p, explorer and a near factory type cam, I hope I get near or as good as your results, Im getting the heads serviced now. But keep us all updated on the time slips- Im sure you'll get a better time then 14.5...good luck. |

If you can get it off the line I reckon flat 14s shouldn't be a drama. Maybe even dip a bit lower
Good luck Timmeh! |

| It would be a great time with a better driver but its my car so the driver/car combo is good for a 14.5 I reckon. I'd be happy cause that is 1.3 better than my previous best. |

| Going to be hard to get down to WAW on time due to finishing work later than usual for the next few weeks. Then the inevitable will happen the wife will give birth to the twins and then it will be ages before I go down. I'll try for next wednesday or it won't happen for a long while. |

Just make sure you get in dead on 5 o clock. Its been packed out recently and full up at 5.45.
Wouldnt want you to drive for an hour or more just to be denied. I'll be there to say g'day. |

Thanks Frank for the offer. I did contemplate someone else giving it a go for me but I can't let anyone else drive my baby. Besides with you driving it will give an artificial ET from the driver/car combo. It really should be owner/driver. |
